...And Justice For All es el cuarto album de estudio de Metallica. Fue editado el 25 de agosto de 1988 por el sello Elektra Records. Se grabó en los estudios One On One en Los Angeles, California, entre enero y mayo de 1988. La producción estuvo a cargo de Flemming Rasmussen y Metallica. Rasmussen también fue el productor de Ride The Lightning (1984) y Master Of Puppets (1986). Es el primer album con Jason Newsted en el bajo, sustituyendo a Cliff Burton, fallecido durante la gira de Master Of Puppets.
El tema "One", cuarto track del album, fue el primero de la banda en tener video clip, lo cual generó mucha controversia entre los fans, debido a su rotación en MTV, por lo que lo tildaron de metal comercial.

Sigo con la discografía de Metallica. Ahora le toca el turno a The 5.98 EP: Garage Days Re-Revisited. Fue editado en Octubre de 1987. Fue la primera grabación de Metallica con Jason Newsted en el bajo, luego de la trágica muerte de Cliff Burton durante la gira del Master Of Puppets. De acuerdo a los apuntes de James Hetfield, el disco fue grabado en apenas 6 días. Es un EP de covers de NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) y música hardcore de finales de los 70's y principios de los 80's. La banda incluyó el precio en dólares en el título y en la carátula del mismo para asegurarse que los fans no lo pagaran más caro que eso.

Master Of Puppets, editado el 21 de febrero de 1986, es el tercer album de Metallica. Es Disco de Oro en el Reino Unido y séxtuple platino en Estados Unidos. Fue el último album que la banda grabó con el bajista Cliff Burton que falleció en setiembre de ese mismo año en un accidente de autobús durante la gira de presentación de este album.
El album es considerado uno de los mejores discos en la historia del heavy metal, una obra maestra del thrash. Fue grabado entre Setiembre y Diciembre de 1985 en los estudios Sweet Silence de Copenhague, Dinamarca, y fue producido por Flemming Rasmussen y Metallica.

Ride The Lightning es el segundo album de Metallica, editado el 16 de Noviembre de 1984 por Elektra Records. Fue grabado entre Junio y Setiembre del mismo año en Sweet Silence Studios, Cophenague (Dinamarca). Se lo considera un clásico del género thrash metal, y un puente vital entre los albumes Kill 'Em All (1983) y Master Of Puppets (1986), llevando el thrash metal del debut hacia un territorio más progresivo.

Es el recital número 40 que da Metallica en el Condado de Los Angeles (esto incluye los chous de Los Angeles, Reseda, Hollywood, Inglewood, Long Beach y Dominguez Hills). La primer ocasion que tocaron en el condado de L.A. fue el 27 de marzo de 1982 en el Whisky a Go-G de Hollywood CA, siendo este el 3er recital oficial de Metallica en su historia.

La última ocasion en que se presentaron en L.A. fue el 14 de mayo de 2008 en el Wiltern en un concierto a beneficio del Silverlake Conservatory of Music.

Las giras en las que se ha presentado en el Condado de Los Angeles son: Kill 'Em All for One, Ride the Lightning, Damage, Inc., Van Halen’s Monsters of Rock, Damaged Justice, Wherever We May Roam, Guns ‘N Metallica, Summer Shit, Poor Touring Me, Summer Sanitarium, Summer Sanitarium 2003, and Madly in Anger With the World.

Es la primer ocasion que interpretan Green Hell en Los Angeles y despues de 16 años tocan nuevamente The Unforgiven en L.A. la última ocasión fue el 3 de octubre de 1992 en el Rose Bowl.

A Tribute To The Ramones :: We're A Happy Family (2003)

It was inevitable that a glut of Ramones tribute albums would follow the passing of Joey and Dee Dee Ramone. The 17-song-strong We're a Happy Family thankfully escapes the dubious tribute-album ghetto. It's no surprise that Ramones descendents like Green Day, Rancid, and the Offspring stick close to the tired and true, while headbanger James Hetfield makes "53rd & 3rd" sound like a Metallica song. But the standouts on the disc are the efforts where artists go off the rails. Pete Yorn turns in a yearning version of "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend," while Tom Waits goes the ghoulish route on "The Return of Jackie and Judy." Kiss get the best-in-show nod for their anthemic "Do You Remember Rock & Roll Radio," which is odd given that the Ramones were formed ostensibly as a reaction against arena rockers like Kiss. Don't miss the final hidden track, a scary gem by the Chili Peppers' John Frusciante.
