Rainbow :: Discografia

Rainbow foi uma banda de hard rock e heavy metal formada pelo fundador do Deep Purple, guitarrista Ritchie Blackmore em 1975. Além de Blackmore, a banda inicialmente consistia de antigos membros da banda Elf; vocalista Ronnie James Dio, tecladista Mickey Lee Soule, baixista Craig Gruber e baterista Gary Driscoll. Ao passar dos anos, Rainbow passou por muitas mudanças.
A banda se separa em 1984 quando Ritchie Blackmore volta ao Deep Purple. Em 1990 Joe Lynn Turner também se junta ao Deep Purple para lançar o disco Slaves and Masters, mas deixa a banda em seguida. Em 1995, Blackmore retorna com o Rainbow e lança o disco Stranger in Us All. A banda acaba e Blackmore forma seu grupo de música renascentista, o Blackmore's Night, com Candice Night no vocal, permanecendo assim até hoje. Ronnie James Dio passou pelo Black Sabbath, o que o consagrou ainda mais além, é claro, das inevitáveis comparações com Ozzy Osbourne. Após isso segue em uma carreira solo de sucesso.

Cantora japonesa nascida em Osaka, em 1974, teve sua carreira solo regida por Lars Ratz (Metalium). Em sua terra natal, sua primeira experiência dentro do metal foi assumindo os vocais nas bandas Evolution, em 1994, e Insania, em 1995, com esta última mudando seu nome para Fairy Mirror em 1999, ganhando status nacional. Porém, graças à problemas nas cordas vocais, Saeko foi obrigada a abandonar o Fairy e teve que viajar para a Suíça, onde teve que se submeter à cirurgias e tratamentos prolongados, simultaneamente aproveitando para se aperfeiçoar em inglês.
Agora na Alemanha, ela passa a se corresponder por e-mail com o integrante do Gammay Ray, Henjo Richter, com a ambição de promover sua tour no famoso evento mundial, "Wacken Open Air Festival", em 2002, onde Saeko passaria a distribuir flyers no intuito de conseguir alguma banda de heavy metal para integrar. Admirado pela sua determinação, Lars Ratz decide colocá-la numa audição do Metalium, para avaliar sua performance. Depois de feitas todas as avaliações, Ratz produz e lança seu primeiro álbum, "Above Heaven, Below Heaven", contando com a formação: Saeko (teclado e piano), Michael Ehre (guitarra), Hermman Frank (guitarra solo) e a baixista de sua ex-banda, Fairy Mirror, Mariko Inoue.
A banda de Saeko passa a excurcionar junto com a lendária Doro Pesch, em 2004, durante a turnê do álbum "Classic Diamonds". Em 2006, é lançado seu segundo álbum, "Life", gravado na Tornado Studios, em Hamburgo, e novamente produzido por Lars Ratz e Michael Ehre.

Demonic Christ was formed in 1992 by Dana Duffey. First she wrote all the music and lyrics for Demonic Christ using session musicians to record the first demo "Deceiving the Heavens" in 1993. The tape was spread throughout the underground by Osmose Productions in Europe and Wild Rags Records in the USA. Demonic Christ was offered a CD deal in 1994 by Morbid Granny and by Moribund Records. With a full line-up the band entered the studio in 1994 and "Punishment For Ignorance" came out in 1995. After the recording, the drummer was replaced the band prepared for live shows. In 1995 a 2 song Promo Tape was released and in early 1996, Demonic Christ added a second guitarist. The next release came out in June 1996 as a 2 song promo tape. Soon after this, the drummer was kicked out. As Demonic Christ began writing new material musical differences made it impossible to continue with this line up. Dana then reduced the band to just herself again. After a private break, Dana got an offer from Dutch label, Cryonics Records to release a second CD. This release is a collection of songs from every release by Demonic Christ. It is entitled "Demonic Battle Metal" and was released in 2000. There were just 250 hand numbered copies. Painkiller Records released the album as well, on LP in 2001.
