Type O Negative es una banda de heavy metal / gothic- doom metal formada en 1991 en la ciudad de Nueva York.Su album debut fue Slow, Deep And Hard, editado el 14 de junio de 1991. Consiste en 7 tracks semi-autobiográficos, basados en una relación que tuvo el bajista Peter Steele.
Line Up: Peter Steele (voz líder, bajo), Kenny Hickey (guitarras líder y rítmica, coros), Josh Silver (teclados, sintetizadores y efectos, coros) y Sal Abruscato (batería, percusión y coros).
