Unia es el quinto y esperado album de la banda finlandesa de power metal Sonata Arctica. Saldrá a la venta el 25 de mayo de 2007 bajo el sello Nuclear Blast. Este trabajo, cuyo título significa "sueños" en finlandés, fue grabado entre diciembre de 2006 y enero de 2007, y según la crítica sigue en la misma línea que su predecesor Reckoning Night editado en 2004.

Line Up: Tony Kakko (voz), Jani Liimatainen (guitarra), Marko Paasikoski (bajo), Tommy Portimo (batería) y Henrik Klingenberg (teclado).

Sonata Arctica :: Silence (2001)

Silence, editado en 2001 por Spinefarm Records, es el segundo album de la banda finlandesa de power metal Sonata Arctica. (Hay más información sobre ellos en un post anterior, para acceder clickear aqui.)
Este trabajo fue grabado entre 2000 y 2001 en Tico Tico Studios. Las canciones fueron compuestas por el vocalista Tony Kakko, con arreglos de la banda, y fue producido por Sonata Arctica. En este disco muestran una vez más su capacidad musical, con un sonido único, más maduro que el del album debut, llamado Eclíptica (1999).

Sonata Arctica :: The Collection (2006)

Sonata Arctica es una banda de power metal formada en 1996 bajo el nombre de Tricky Beans, luego lo cambiaron a Tricky Means, y en 1999 cambiaron definitivamente a Sonata Arctica. Son originarios de la ciudad de Kemi, en Finlandia. Han sido teloneros de Gamma Ray, Iron Maiden y Nightwish.
El album recopilatorio The Collection, editado el 15 de noviembre de 2006, incluye los mejores tracks de toda la discografía de Sonata Arctica desde 1999 hasta el 2006, que es la siguiente: Eliptica (1999), Silence (2001), Winterheart's Guild (2003) y Reckoning Night (2004).
Se espera la salida del nuevo album de la banda llamado Unia para el 25 de mayo de este año.

El tecladista de los finlandeses, Henrik “Lance” Klingenberg, declaró que el material es oscuro y quizá “no tan complejo” como su anterior álbum, Unia (2007. “Definitivamente no es un regreso a las raíces con rápido power metal. Todo el sello característico de Sonata está ahí, solos, muchos cantos, algunas canciones lentas,” dijo el músico.
