Different World es el segundo single del album A Matter Of Life And Death (2006) de la banda británica Iron Maiden. La canción "Different World" es considerada por la banda como un tributo a Thin Lizzy, un grupo de hard rock de orígen irlandés formado en 1969, y liderado por el cantante y bajista Phil Lynott.
Esta versión Dvd single fue editada para Europa. Contiene el video de "Different World" y fotos del A Matter Of Life And Dead Tour y de Eddie.

Iron Maiden :: A Matter Of Life And Death (2006)

Iron Maiden es un grupo de heavy metal británico, formado en 1975 por el bajista Steve Harris y el guitarrista Dave Murray. En 1978 produjeron su primer maqueta en los estudios Spacewood de Cambridge con los temas: Prowler, Invasion y Iron Maiden. A partir de entonces, y gracias al boom de las bandas metaleras en lo que se consideró el NWOBHCM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal), se fueron superando y tocando en locales cada vez mayores y con más concurrencia. Es así que a fines del '79 eran fichados por la multinacional EMI, lanzando su album debut Iron Maiden el 14 de abril de 1980. Le sigue una prolífera discografía que cuenta en la actualidad con 14 albums de estudio, que los ha convertido en una de las bandas más importantes de la historia. A Matter Of Life And Death, editado en setiembre de 2006, es el más reciente hasta este momento y ha sido un éxito en el mundo entero.

Nueva canción de Iron Maiden, un vistazo a su nuevo álbum

El nuevo álbum de Iron Maiden acaba de ser anunciado oficialmente, como todos ya saben este se llama “The Final Frontier” hace poco fue anunciada una gira junto con el super grupo Dream Theater para promocionar este álbum en los estados unidos.

Hoy, después de casi dos días de espera, con una cuenta regresiva en la pagina que en lo personal me traía loco, han dado a conocer al publico la nueva portada y un adelante, se podría llamar un single digital. La canción que dan a conocer se llama “El Dorado” y esta disponible para todo el mundo en descarga directa en su pagina oficial http://www.ironmaiden.com/ , la pagina en estos momentos esta muy congestionada, y si tiene una conexión lenta probablemente no te entrara, por esa razón yo se las traigo aquí.

Ya la escuche y me parece algo rara, Maiden tomo un nuevo sonido, pero me ha gustado (obviamente), espero sus opiniones.

Ahh una ultima cosa, como todos sabemos Steve Harris dijo que solo sacaría 15 álbumes de estudio, y este nuevo es ese numero, ojala este no sea el principio del fin.

Este dvd ya lo habia subido otro colaborador de este blog (Mac), desconosco cuales fueron las caracteristidas de su upload, pero sus links fueron eliminados debido a esto pongo un dvdrip que habia publicado en mi otro blog. En ese post esta el segundo dvd tambien en dvdrip para los que deseen. puden encontrar capturas y caratulas en alta calidad aqui Capturas y caratulas

LIVE AFTER DEATH fue filmado cerca del final de la gira ‘The World Slavery Tour’, sobre un record de 4 noches donde las entradas se vendieron completamente. El DVD fue filmado en Long Beach Arena, Los Angeles, con una capacidad de 13200 personas. Con piezas de los cinco primeros álbumes del grupo, tanto el video como el disco se rankearon en la cima de los charts a nivel mundial.

Iron Maiden lanza este DVD el 4 de Febrero de 2008, coincidiendo con el inicio del tour ‘Somewhere Back In Time World Tour’. En marzo de 2008, este DVD fue certificado como disco dorado, por vender más de 50 mil copias.

"Eddie's Archive" es un box set que fue lanzado 16 de noviembre de 2002.

El box set se divide en 3 discos, "The BBC Archives", "Best of the B'Sides" y "Beast Over Hammersmith", en los cuales aprecen varias versiones de las bandas que influenciaron a Iron Maiden, como Deep Purple o UFO, entre otros.

El "Archives the BBC" incluye unos conciertos grabados en la década de los 80 y 90 en la BBC.

El "Beast Over Hammersmith" contiene material del tour del album "The Number of the Beast"

Iron Maiden :: Brave new world [bonus tracks] (2000)

Un gran disco que les valió una nominación a los grammy como mejor canción de Hard Rock por el tema "The Wickerman". Como novedad, además del trío de guitarras y la vuelta de Dickinson, fue la vuelta (por lo menos colaborando) de Derek Riggs en el arte de tapa. La gira de presentación incluyó varios países de Sudamérica.

La canción Brave New World y la carátula del álbum están inspiradas en la novela de Aldous Huxley "Brave New world" ("Un mundo feliz" en su edición en castellano) que trata sobre un mundo futurista distópico.

Iron Maiden :: Virtual XI [bonus tracks] (1998)

Segundo y último disco con Blaze Bayley como vocalista. Después del drástico cambio que significó la oscuridad de "The X-Factor" en el estilo de Iron Maiden se buscó retomar una línea un poco más melódica, aunque de todas formas las estructuras de composición conservan ciertas similitudes (fundamentalmente buscando optimizar el limitado registro de Bayley) y se hace mucho más fuerte el uso de sintetizadores. Para la portada (para muchos la peor en toda la carrera de la banda, al menos hasta antes de salir el "Dance of Death") vuelve a contarse con Hugh Syme, aunque abandona los diseños realistas del anterior disco (los cuales no funcionaron como se pensaba) e hizo un diseño más al estilo de los de Derek Riggs. Los dibujos de fondo del interior del libreto perteneces al material gráfico del videojuego "Ed-Hunter".

El concepto del disco está orientado a temáticas relacionadas con el auge de la computación y la tecnología y sus posibles consecuencias negativas; sin embargo el "XI" del nombre se debe a que es el undécimo disco de la Doncella de Hierro, como también a que un equipo de fútbol se compone de 11 jugadores (por esas fechas Iron Maiden sacó todo el merchandising de sus camisetas de fútbol, para lo cual incluso armaron una pequeña selección en la que jugaron junto a estrellas del fútbol mundial como Paul Gascoigne o Faustino Asprilla).

En líneas generales es un disco que genera hasta el día de hoy opiniones divididas entre los fans de Iron Maiden: hay quienes la consideran una de los peores albums de su carrera o quienes consideran que reactivó la fe en el grupo. Temas como Futureal, When Two Worlds Collide, Lightning Strikes Twice, The Educated Fool o la espectacular The Clansman, retoman parte del estilo más tradicional de Maiden y llamaron la atención de los fans, al tiempo que composiciones muy mediocres como The Angel And The Gambler (para muchos la peor canción de la Doncella), Don't Look to the eyes of a Stranger y Como estais amigos desconcertaron a muchos.

Iron Maiden :: A real live one [bonus tracks] (1993)

Lanzado el 22 de marzo de 1993 y comparado con "Live After Death", este disco pierde mucha fuerza principalmente por el trabajo de producción: las guitarras se escuchan con menos protagonismo más de fondo y el hecho de que se trate de grabaciones de distintos conciertos por Europa hace que de una canción a otra se note una gran diferencia de sonido sobre todo en el griterío del público.

"Para este nuevo directo hicimos voluntariamente todo lo contrario a "Live After Death". Yo quería particularmente que el público estuviera muy presente y que no se tratara de uno o dos conciertos, sino de una reunión de temas grabados un poco en todas partes. Esto permitía a numerosos fans decir "¡yo estuve allí!" Fue una verdadera pesadilla para montarlo, había kilómetros de cinta a escuchar y todos los arreglos eran cada vez diferentes. Las piezas grabadas en la gira francesa tenían un ambiente increíble, pero en otros países la atmósfera parecía mucho más tranquila. Personalmente encuentro el resultado más que satisfactorio. Ciertas canciones me provocan muchos más escalofríos en éste álbum que en sus versiones de estudio" - Steve Harris.
