Dark Tranquillity :: Fiction (2007) -Advance-

Dark Tranquillity es una banda de death metal melódico nacida en la escena underground de Suecia en 1989, aunque en ese entonces tenían otro nombre. En 1993 lanzaron su album debut Skydancer, que iniciaría el sonido del "Gothenburg metal", siendo los pioneros de lo que hoy conocemos como melodic death metal. Fiction es el nuevo album de la banda, cuyo lanzamiento se espera para el 17 de abril del presente año. Fue grabado entre octubre y noviembre del 2006 en los estudios Fredman (Suecia), y producido por Dark Tranquillity y Tue Madsen. Les dejo por aquí el promo advance, a ver qué les parece.

Fiction es el octavo album y es editado el 17 de abril de 2008 bajo el sello Century Media. El 23 de junio de 2008 lanzan su "expanded edition" que contiene bonus tracks y un dvd.

The Gallery fue el segundo álbum de Dark Tranquillity. Fue editado el 27 de Noviembre de 1995 a través de Osmose Productions. Es el primero que presenta a Mikael Stanne en voz. Este álbum, así como Slaughter Of The Soul de At The Gates y The Jester Race de In Flames, son considerados paradigmáticos en el sonido de este género.

En 2005 fue reeditado por Century Media, con un nuevo arte de tapa y 5 covers como bonus tracks. Esa es la versión que les dejo por aquí.

Projector es el cuarto album de estudio de Dark Tranquillity, editado el 21 de Junio de 1999 a través de century Media. Fue producido por Fredrik Nordström. En él introducen pianos y teclados, que se mantendrán de ahí en adelante como parte integral del sonido de la banda. Tal vez es el trabajo del grupo en que hay más voces "clean" con el ingreso del barítono Mikael Stanne.

Dark Tranquillity es una banda de death metal melódico originaria de Suecia. Se los considera pioneros del "Gothenburg Metal", un subestilo del death metal pero con características mucho más melódicas.
La banda está integrada por: Mikael Stanne (voz, quien también participó como cantante sesionista en grabaciones del grupo In Flames), Niklas Sundin (guitarra), Michael Nicklasson (bajo), Anders Jivarp (batería) y Martin Brandström (teclados).
El album Damage Done, editado en 2002, fue grabado en el estudio Fredman entre febrero y marzo de ese mismo año, y producido por Dark Tranquillity y Fredrik Nordström.
