Argentina | 2008 | Melodic Death Metal

Warbreed nace a finales del año 2003 en Buenos Aires, Argentina, cuando Guillermo C. y Sergio Ribnikov se juntaron para formar una banda de Melodic Death Metal que tuviera una base conceptual basada principalmente en los hechos acontecidos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial e influenciadas en su sonido por bandas del estilo de In Flames, Dark Tranquillity o At The Gates entre otras.

Cabe destacar que Warbreed, más allá de lo que propone, es una banda imparcial y apolítica. La agrupación no comparte ninguna clase de ideología basada en la intolerancia, ya sea nazismo, neo-nazismo, sionismo, fundamentalismo, etnocentrismo o cualquier otro movimiento que involucre sentimiendos de odio o que avasalle de alguna forma los derechos inherentes a todo ser humano, conforme a la Declaración Universal de Derechos Humanos. El interés de la banda es netamente histórico y recreativo.

History Undone es su primer álbum de estudio, editado en el pasado mes de Abril bajo el sello Blackstar C.P. Es un álbum conceptual acerca de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, contanto historias acerca de diferentes personas que pertenecen a ambos bandos de la guerra y a diferentes estratos y contextos sociales, siendo algunas de ellas basadas en hechos reales y otras puramente ficción.

Cuenta con la participación especial de Mark Jansen, de la banda holandesa Epica, quien participó en el tema Rotterdam In Flames con su característica voz gutural.

Roadrunner United fue un proyecto organizado por el sello discográfico Roadrunner Records con el motivo del festejo de su 25to aniversario. None So Vile es el segundo álbum de la banda canadiense Cryptopsy, editado en el año 1996 a través del sello Wrong Again Records.

Al igual que Effigy of the Forgotten de Suffocation, es considerado un álbum visagra para el desarrollo del Technical Death Metal y del Brutal Death Metal, además de haber revitalizado el género a mediados de los 90'.

La portada del álbum es una pintura titulada "Herodías con la cabeza de Juan el Bautista" y pertenece a la pintora de estilo barroco Elisabetta Sirani, quien a pesar de morir los 27 años de edad (1638-1665) fue una de las primeras pintoras con proyección internacional.

Nasum :: Doombringer [Live] (2008)

Nasum es una banda sueca de grindcore y death/grind. Fue formada en Örebro en 1992 por Anders Jakobson y Rickard Alriksson, siguiendo el rumbo de la banda de los 80 Napalm Death. Poco antes de grabar su primer demo se les unió el guitarrista Mieszko Talarczyk. Entre 1997 y 2004 editaron 4 albumes a través del sello Relapse. El 10 de Marzo de 2008 el sello editó Doombringer, un album en vivo grabado en Osaka (Japón) en la última gira de la banda, antes del prematuro fallecimiento de Mieszko Talarczyk durante el tsunami de 2004. Este live album testimonia fielmente la potencia y agresividad de esta banda icónica del género.

Es un album conceptual sobre la historia de un asesino que mete en complicaciones a la policia al dejar a sus victimas envuletas en tela de araña y con una sola pierna todo se complica cuando se enamora de su victima numero 8.

El álbum originalmente se había destinado para salir al mercado en 2007 pero los problemas con el productor y la calendarización de la gira retrasaron su salida.

Slash y Ozzy Osbourne estan como invitados y para la gira Cooper contará con musicos como los guitarristas Keri Kelli y Jason Hook, el bajista Chuck Garric y el baterista Eric Singer.
